saves/restores the master boot sector BOOTSave 2.9 BootSave saves/restores the master boot sector on the hard disk. Suite of three utilities BootSave, BootRest and BootChk. Protects against damage to the partition table or boot sector done by rogue programs, viruses or accidents with tools like Norton NU. This version does NOT save the boot sectors for each individual partition, just the MBR (master boot record) that contains the primary booting code, and the partition information.

got a bootsector virus--- nothing seems to work any more . \Hence also failure to use Bootsave. Sorry no useful comment today, but 60 GB of Hard disk are still waiting to be cured.Apparently the sectors 32 to 46 can't be written, erased ect as write protected.

Forget about unbootable system! JustBoot Boot Corrector 7.0 Boot Corrector is a system utility designed to resolve various problems which users may encounter during the system boot process. These problems may be caused by program errors or user mistakes, or become the results of boot virus activity (for example, when a boot virus has corrupted the MBR). The key advantage of Boot Corrector is that it can correct the Windows System Registry (Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003) without Windows loaded.

The program didn't fix the problem. My current thinking is that my problem resulted because the hard disk is too big for the bios to handle which is a problem obviously outside what I'd expect from this program. I considered purchasing their newer and more expensive program from their website but decided since my computer is Windows XP to just spend the $20 here and was glad I did.

JustBoot Corrector The trial version looks very good - but it does DO anything. It was very hard to find the web site to purchase the program. There is a :Just Buy" button on this web page: http://www.justboot.us/boot_corrector.htm

Tried Demo Version Did not need to fix a drive just check out boot scetor, gave me the info I needed.

Bootpart, the Windows boot tools Bootpart 2.60 BootPart is a tool for adding partitions in the WinNT/2K/XP multi boot menu (Linux...). Bootpart 2.60 is compatible with Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. BOOTPART lets you add partitions in the Windows NT/2K/XP Multiboot menu. Usually, you only have an MSDOS or Windows 95 entry and one (or several) entries on the Windows NT multiboot. You can also restore the Dos, Windows 95/98/Me or NT Bootloader boot sector on Fat partition.

I was unable to unzip it, I downloaded but when i click I can\'t see to identify a program I have that can unzip. My hard drive seems to be dying on me and i was hoping this may have worked but seems I\'m the issue here so it\'s not getting a chance. TY

Easy to use, fast and better than many others I've tried, bootpart actually does what says(You should start thinking to make it commercial).(Sorry for my english).

I was on your site because my computer sucks. I was trying to find something that would help my problem. I was unable to download the file...I think I tried a couple of times with no success. I'm sorry it's taken so long to respond but I'm still dealing with my computer...so I have to use my husbands computer to retrieve info. I've never had the opportunity to use BOOTPART 2.60Sincerely,Annette Goodman
